I am concerned and would like advice on what may be wrong and need to decide if this is an urgent matter... I have an appointment with my Family Doctor in a couple days. I am experiencing abnormal bleeding and vaginal mucus-like discharge for 10 days now. There is no odour, no itching and the discharge started as blood at first, then clotted, and now is stringy, mucus-like and clear. I am also experiencing constant lower abdominal area/pelvic area pain, cramping and pressure for approx 1 month now. Pain is still present and seems to be getting worse. No vaginal pain, feels more like cervix or uterus. Pain worsens and throbs when bladder is full. Occasional sharp stabbing pains but mostly throbbing/aching. I had some spotting between periods last cycle. My periods are very regular and I have never had bleeding between periods before. Here is my recent cycle data: Feb 6th -Day 1 with usual PMS symptoms (sore breast, mild cramping) Feb 20th ? light spotting (4 days) Cramping, dull achy pain and pressure (fullness feeling) - still present & getting worse March 8th - Day 1 with no PMS symptoms March 18th - spotting, discharge begins -still present General Info: Full-term, normal pregnancy in 2003, no complications. I have been trying to conceive for over 10 months with no luck. I stopped taking oral contraceptives 12 months ago. Regular 30 day menstrual cycle. Pregnancy tests taken over the last month are all negative.
