I?m doing a science project, and I have some questions on hand cranked flashlight dynamos. -I haven?t taken a dynamo flashlight apart yet, but I believe that the dynamo itself is actually shaped like a cylindrical battery. Question 1- If the dynamo?s circular edge had a diameter of 2 inches, how many watts per minute could it produce if it was really well put together, and how expensive would it be? Question 2- If this expensive dynamo was used continuously, how long would it last- and if I paid more for it, could it ever be made to last indefinitely?- and if it?s a matter of the magnets within dying, would another magnetic source nearby be able to refuel it?
