Your Question:
We have a 2010 Ford Fusion SE 2.5 Automatic. This car has a TPMS. We plan to buy winter tires. If we also buy winter rims we need to the install TPMS sensors in each rim. The system only advises of low tire pressure, it does not provide any information as to which tire. This seems to be much simpler than some other systems and may require less set up. My question is does the system on the car automatically detect the new sensors or is a tool and procedure required to make the system recognize the new sensors? The answer has some impact on whether or not I buy rims.
