Your Question:
My employer had me sign a written warning today that was not an admittance of guilt, but it was just a document for my employer to put in my file. He said, That if I did not sign the document then I quit. I asked him if he was firing me and he said, No. I signed this document out of fear because I do not want to quit and lose my job.
Do I have any legal recourse even if I am still currently employed? Again, I feel that the employer does not want to fire me because he does not want to pay for unemployment so he is coercing me to sign a written warning document and says that if I do not sign then I quit. This is an at will employer, but is this legal?
